Independent freight intelligence for Australian shippers.

An independent freight audit and tender platform. No carrier kickbacks. Flat fees. Transparent methodology. Hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure with Australian-region storage controls where available.

Why TLK Source exists

Australian freight is one of the largest line items on most shippers' P&Ls — and one of the least scrutinised. Most companies don't have an internal team that can independently verify what they're paying. Some advisory and brokerage models are influenced by carrier rebates, referral fees or volume incentives. TLK Source is built differently: our income comes only from the customer fee.

The result is a market where rate cards drift upward, surcharges quietly compound, and tender outcomes look competitive on paper but were shaped from the start to favour whichever carrier was paying the broker.

TLK Source exists because that problem is fixable — if the analysis is independent, transparent and built from the customer's data.

How we work

Three products covering the full commercial freight cycle: an audit reveals what's broken, a tender fixes the structure, and the managed service keeps it that way. All three run on the same engine, the same anonymised AU shipper benchmark, and the same flat-fee or transparent subscription model.

We take no rebates, kickbacks, referral fees, or volume bonuses from any carrier. Our entire income is the audit fee, the tender fee, the bundle fee, and the managed-service subscription. That's the whole list. If a carrier offered us money, we wouldn't be able to take it without dismantling the product — so we built it that way deliberately.

Every finding in every audit is reviewed by a human before it goes to the customer. Every tender shortlist is reviewed before handover. Every monthly managed-service review is reviewed before delivery. The methodology is published. The underlying data is exportable so any successor advisor can re-run the analysis on their own and get the same numbers.

What we believe about freight

Most of the money lost to bad freight pricing is lost in small amounts, repeatedly, over long periods — not in dramatic single events. The biggest opportunity for most shippers isn't catching a carrier doing something egregious; it's noticing that a 1.4% surcharge drift compounded across 60,000 consignments for three years adds up to seven figures.

Spotting that requires running the numbers. It doesn't require a 200-slide consultancy deck. It doesn't require a multi-year retainer. It requires the work to be done independently, methodically, and at a price that doesn't punish the customer for asking the question in the first place.

Where the data lives

All customer data — invoices, rate cards, contracts, tender responses, lane analytics — is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure with Australian-region storage controls where available. No data is shared with carriers without your explicit consent in the data pack confirmation step.

We use anonymised, aggregated lane benchmarks built from prior customer engagements. Your data contributes to the benchmark only after explicit anonymisation; no individual shipper's contract terms are ever exposed to another customer.

The team

TLK Source is founder-led and based in Australia. We deliberately keep the operating footprint tight so the unit economics work without success fees, retainers, or carrier rebates. If we had to hire a sales floor to make the model work, the model wouldn't be the model.

Working with us

The fastest way to understand what we do is to do it. The audit is A$9,990 ex-GST, takes five business days, and gives you back a full report plus the underlying data. If the audit is all you need, the engagement ends there — there's no retainer, no auto-renewal, no relationship lock-in.

For larger questions — multi-entity audits, complex tender scopes, anything where you want to talk through the shape before you sign up — email hello@tlksource.com.au.

An audit costs the same whether we find A$10 or A$1m.

That's the model. No success fees. No carrier money. Just the data.
